We are seeking an experienced and driven professional to be responsible for developing and managing sales partners in our distribution channels including agency/broker relationships, among others, engaged in the promotion and sales of a variety of different health care access and health insurance related products and services to the consumer and small business market. Our ideal applicant will have a bachelor's degree in business and have several years of experience as an Account Executive, health insurance agent/broker or a similar role.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients, specifically health insurance brokers, consultants, and agents as sellers of our solutions – in the individual health plan market and employer-focused health programs/alternative health plan offerings.
  • Drive revenue to meet and exceed corporate and individual sales goals.
  • Support external sales channel relationships through general agent education, technology support, and other troubleshooting as needed in conjunction with Director of Strategic Growth.
  • Respond to Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Create and conduct professional, accurate, and informative sales presentations.
  • Share expertise and best sales practices with new recruits and co-workers to drive sales goals and operational excellence.
  • Lead process, operational, and customer service improvements through collaboration with internal departments.
  • Leverage available technology in order to meet company and client needs.
  • Provide market intelligence to Director of Strategic Growth to identify product and process improvement areas.
  • Promote various alternative health plan offerings through honest and effective communication.
  • Lead in meeting and exceeding KPIs (i.e.) lead generation, out-bound calls, talk-time, members added & retained, consultations, & member satisfaction.
  • CRM responsibilities: keep info accurate & updated, timely data & note entry, monitor, track, & report new opportunities.
  • Act as a knowledge expert competitive landscape to educate the consumer market on feature-rich sharing programs and our virtual health solution. Suggest solutions to program challenges.
  • Drive solution engagement and retention.
  • Forecast new enrollments, revenue and retention accurately.
  • Identify client needs and long-term goals to promote and align features of solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • A strong background in health insurance / health plan sales and/or marketing.
  • Experience with selling through brokers, agencies, associations and other distribution types in the health insurance field
  • Software SaaS or PaaS experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of successful account sales/account management required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of consumer, B2C, B2B, and sales theory.
  • Extremely proficient and professional communication, both verbal and written.

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and is a full-time in-office position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines


Physical requirements
