THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A LEARNING SUPPORT SPECIALIST

This part-time classroom coordinator role works Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11:30 am until 8 pm.

As a Learning Support Specialist, your daily tasks revolve around supporting our program and parents. You use the RIP Parent Classroom Training manual to facilitate learning, provide feedback on assignments, and model RIP techniques. You conduct monthly meetings with trained parents, prepare program sheets, maintain the classroom and supplies, and collect feedback for remediation training. Your role also involves supporting parents in learning and modeling appropriate behavior, contributing to the success of our program and the development of essential skills among parents.

OUR IDEAL LEARNING SUPPORT SPECIALIST

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 18+ years old
  • Knowledge and experience in working with young behavior-disordered children and their families is preferred
  • Previous training in the RIP model is preferred
