Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Services: Collect vital signs and growth measurements, confirm and update medical histories and chart notes. Conduct diagnostic tests as directed. Administer vaccines, injections, or medications as required under the guidance of a healthcare provider.
  • Supportive Procedures: Carry out procedures such as immunizations, injections, blood draws, point-of-care labs, and wound care, while managing infection control.
  • Additional Duties: Answer phone calls, take messages, and greet patients. Serve as backup to the healthcare provider during emergency treatments or complex procedures. Exercise professional judgment when consulting with supervising healthcare providers regarding appropriate treatment options.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with state certification based on the certifying examination.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Prior clinical experience is preferred.
