ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Family Support Specialist at Volunteer Behavioral Health, you will be instrumental in delivering support and guidance to families in need. Your duties will encompass employing a systems approach to collaborate with families, executing behavior management strategies rooted in applied behavior analysis principles, and providing training and respite services both at home and in the community. You will engage closely with children and their families, conducting ecological assessments and functional analyses of behavioral challenges. It will be your responsibility to gather data, maintain daily progress logs, and furnish ongoing written and verbal evaluations to parents based on established objectives and collected data. Furthermore, you will work alongside families to create Individualized Family Respite Plans, customizing training to meet their unique needs. Your expertise will also be crucial in assisting families to identify and access community respite alternatives. Throughout this process, you will provide direct respite services to families as part of skills generalization training for the child.
