Job Description

The Installation Field Operations Manager oversees and manages installation field operations within our organization. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient execution of installation projects, coordinating field teams, and maintaining exceptional standards of quality and safety. This position is pivotal in our commitment to delivering top-notch security installation solutions and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: manage and grow a team of Project Managers in the planning, execution, and completion of installation projects within budget and timeline constraints, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Field Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage project managers, installers, integrators, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of installation projects in compliance with contract requirements and to our company standards.
  • Resource Management: Effectively allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements and timelines.
  •  Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold rigorous quality control measures to ensure work is performed to the highest industry standards and client expectations.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all field operations personnel and subcontractors adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during project execution, maintaining open and effective communication to address any concerns and provide updates.
  • Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide accurate financial reporting to upper management.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors; working with Contracts to accurately capture requirements, costs, and timelines. Contain scope, communicate and negotiate change orders, and ensure our subcontractors meet performance and quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, create and implement best practices, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Other Duties: Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in field operations management, particularly in the physical and electronic security installation industry.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.

  • Knowledge of security and technology systems is a plus.

  • This position may require travel to project sites as needed.

  • Security Clearances: This position requires a DOD Top Secret security clearance. Convergint Federal will sponsor the level of clearance required. However, it will be your responsibility to obtain and maintain your required level of clearance.
