About Hitachi Energy: Hitachi Energy's HVDC Installation Department is dedicated to executing mechanical and electrical installation operations in projects across the globe. The team also extends technical assistance for bidding and sales processes, and supports the engineering division in design advancements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Your primary role will involve overseeing electrical installations on-site for high voltage initiatives worldwide, managing activities such as cable installation, terminations, and the setup of junction boxes and control panels.
  • Travel to client sites, predominantly in North America, with potential opportunities for international assignments.
  • Upholding Hitachi Energy's fundamental principles of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and prioritizing the safety of colleagues and the organization.
  • Supervising subcontractors to guarantee effective and economical completion of installation tasks while adhering to quality and safety regulations.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of installation operations.
  • Coordinating installation efforts with the Installation Manager/Site Manager.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure appropriate documentation is employed on-site and providing constructive feedback for project records.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external suppliers.

Your Background:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or substantial experience in electrical installation for large-scale projects.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience in installation supervision is advantageous.
  • Preference for previous involvement in HVDC, FACTS, or Substation projects.
  • Must possess valid work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
