Job Description:

Position Summary: The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all billing and collections activities are executed efficiently and accurately. This role involves preparing invoices, ensuring that billing is consistent with company policies, and maintaining customer satisfaction through clear communication and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure invoices are accurate and comply with company policies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of all billing transactions.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to billing and collections.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding their accounts and payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Continuously seek to improve billing processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and billing software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • May require occasional overtime during peak periods.

Reports to: Billing Manager

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
