POSITION SUMMARY

The Billing and Invoicing Specialist is responsible for compiling data to create accurate customer invoices, ensuring that all billing details are precise and processed efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Examine customer documentation to comprehend the scope of work for invoicing.
  • Implement and assess invoicing procedures.
  • Gather pricing information for materials.
  • Prepare cost analyses summarizing material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead expenses incurred during installations.
  • Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies or omissions found in invoice items or the database.
  • Organize and file documents as instructed.
  • Communicate effectively through phone and email.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Develop and maintain resource information regarding products, vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Archive documents and plans appropriately.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Successful candidates must meet the following qualifications:

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence, write simple messages, and effectively present information in small group settings. Proficiency in basic mathematical operations and the ability to interpret graphs.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY

Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet software, email applications, and internet usage is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires regular sitting, use of hands, reaching, and communication. The employee may need to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is typically quiet, conducive to focused tasks.
