Commercial Account Specialist

 

Position Summary:

  

1)    Assist in the sales of light commercial service agreements and replacements to customers located within the company’s target market areas.

2)    Establish and maintain an account type relationship with customers and service agreement accounts assigned to you by the company.

            Represent the company in an ethical, honest and professional manner.

3)   Quote repairs and assist with replacement quotes for all service agreement customers.

 

Position Duties:

 

  1. Executes the approved company B2B inside sales process through identifying opportunities with current customers, presentation, quoting, and order taking sales follow through, customer follow-up after the sale, documentation reporting and communication.
    1. Assist and support current sales team in acquiring new customers.
    2. Maintain detailed data base of existing commercial customers to include: business name, contact name, phone number; age, type, capacity, location and access requirements for the equipment and service contract renewal date.
    3. Coordinates the full resources of the company and its suppliers to maximize the commercial customer relationship.
    4. Quote, order, and source all parts for repairs associated with contract and non-contract customers
    5. Build customer preference for the company’s unique position in the market through the provision of value-added HVAC comfort products.. 
    6. Review monthly “Scheduled Call Reports” and renew expired or outdated contracts.
  1. Responsible for maintaining a professional level of personal growth related to the product and services provided by the company as well as all proficiency in various sales support programs and guidelines to include:
    1. Maintaining current knowledge of the B2B sales process
    2. Maintaining current knowledge of forms, tools, guidelines from the BSI system for pricing, marketing, reporting and recordkeeping.
    3. Maintain current knowledge of energy saver agreements, benefits, terms and conditions
    4. Maintain proficiency with current software applications.
  1. Promotes the sale of all ancillary products associated with HVAC equipment and controls; assist in the estimating and sale of replacements to service contract customers.
  2. Responsible to handle every aspect of the agreement customer’s experience, to include but not limited to repair quotes, conflict resolution, follow-up, etc. 
  3. Maintains accurate customer documentation and communicates the customer status and concerns to the commercial service manager as needed. 
  4. Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  5. Provides assistance to the commercial service manager or president as requested to maximize company wide sales.

 

Position Qualifications

 

Knowledge/Education:

          High School Diploma or GED with educational achievement commensurate with understanding a wide variety of company policies and procedures and providing the required support to facilitate the communication and understanding of those policies.  Must have demonstrated interest in completing periodic continuing education courses that are related to and enhance the efficient and effective performance of job responsibilities. 

 

Training/Experience:

           Must have a track record of successfully creating a mutually beneficial partnership with customers. 

Skills/Aptitudes/Abilities:

·         Must possess enthusiasm, creativity, initiative, leadership, teamwork, professionalism, and a strong desire for personal growth

·         Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship skills with the ability to relate effectively with customers

·         Must possess multi-tasking skills

·         Must possess valid Virginia Drivers License and be company insurable and have an acceptable criminal record in accordance with applicable regulations

·         Must possess reliable transportation

·         Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook and Power Point

·         Must be CPR and First Aid certified or agreeable to become certified

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to function successfully in a moderately stressful sales environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work effectively in both a field and office environment
  • Must be able to work effectively in all weather conditions, drive a vehicle, sit, stand, bend, reach and sit at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to climb stairs multiple times daily
  • Must be able to work effectively above ground
