Accel Schools is seeking a results-driven, Marketing and Outreach Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing and Outreach Specialist will play a critical role within the team to ensure full enrollment at schools within the Accel Schools network. The Marketing and Outreach Specialist will generate leads that result in new student enrollments, develop and execute strategies and tactics to achieve full enrollment, provide high-quality customer service, community outreach, guide prospective families through the enrollment process, and provide support within the entire Marketing Team.

As A Marketing Outreach Specialist supporting efforts for ACCEL Schools you will be responsible for the following areas:

Lead Generation/Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Supports the Marketing Managers in leading the outreach and partner relationship management efforts to ensure an ongoing pipeline of new leads
  • Works with Cleveland area assigned schools to develop strategies to achieve enrollment goals, maintain focus on performance to goal, engage school staff to close enrollment leads, facilitates updates with school leaders and provides accurate and regular communication
  • Door-knocking/Canvassing in neighborhoods to target local families and students within the Cleveland area
  • Canvassing at grocery stores, parks and other public location located in around Metro Cleveland
  • Tabling and approaching people to start conversation at public locations or community event
  • Contact and meet day cares, community agencies, businesses, community center, preschools, etc. to explain benefits of the schools(s) and create partnerships

Enrollment Process Management:

  • Ensures that high level of customer service is consistently provided to prospective families, staff, internal/external partners and stakeholders
  • Fully understands and utilizes the student recruitment portal to guide prospective families through the application and enrollment process
  • Reviews, secures, and ensures the quality of all data collected and utilized in the enrollment process

  • Demonstrated experience in lead generation and strategy development and execution
  • Demonstrated strong networking and relationship building skills; must be able to represent themselves and our schools confidently in new situations and to new people
  • Highly developed communication skills; and ability to influence others by persuasively presenting thoughts and ideas to gain commitment and agreement for proposed ideas and solutions
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, analytic skills and excellent follow-through; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to maintain a high level of data integrity and privacy/confidentiality of personal information
  • Computer experience (Word, Excel, database management, spreadsheets, social networking) required. Experience with SchoolMint is preferred
  • Must be comfortable working in the field in neighborhoods across the city of Cleveland

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of student recruitment, sales, or customer service experience
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Reliable Transportation Required
  • Ability to travel within the Cleveland area
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Proficient in computer applications
