Prestige Healthcare Resources Inc (PHRI) is seeking an experienced, pro-active, thoughtful team member who can make a substantial and valuable impact to the organization. We currently provide services to over 1,500 patients in two different states. We are in growth mode and looking to scale to providing care to over 10,000 patients in 5 different states over the next 3 years. Our focus is advocating and implementing an integrated care model approach to the underserved population undergoing behavioral health related issues.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Residential Housing Advisor will support clients with their daily needs, including housekeeping and meal preparation, while also providing emotional support and companionship. This role involves creating a positive living environment, offering compassionate care, and ensuring clients’ well-being and comfort in the community residential setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist residents with personal activities such as housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to program rules and policies.
  • Organize and lead group activities to promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Provide oversight to ensure residents' safety and security at all times.
  • Connect residents with relevant community resources and support services.
  • Address reasonable requests from residents to support their daily living requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the residents' quality of life.
  • Update and manage detailed reports on each resident’s progress and needs.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain personal hygiene standards.
  • Confirm that residents have access to balanced and nutritious meals.
  • Support the program coordinator and guardians in creating and implementing Habilitation Plans.
  • Ensure medications are available and administered as prescribed by the program coordinator.
  • Help residents with scheduling and arranging accessible services as needed.
  • Keep accurate progress notes reflecting residents' goals and achievements.
  • Adhere to all PHRI policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Provide required documentation, including timesheets and care provider reports, in a timely manner.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and the program manager.
  • Meet regularly with the immediate supervisor to discuss performance and address issues.
  • Follow the assigned work schedule and notify the supervisor of any necessary changes.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as requested by the supervisor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is based in a community residential facility environment, where standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, will be utilized on a routine basis.

  • Supervise residents within the group home, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Adapt to varying shift patterns, which may include both day and night shifts.
  • Participate in a rotating schedule that may require occasional overnight stays.
  • Engage in local travel as necessary for job-related tasks and responsibilities.
  • Manage a work environment that can be emotionally and physically demanding, depending on the mood and behavior of residents.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Work experience in counseling, social work, or group home preferred.
  • Job-specific training required prior to start date.
