Key Responsibilities:- Develop new residential mortgage opportunities by collaborating with both internal and external referral partners.
- Assist clients with inquiries regarding mortgage options through multiple communication channels.
- Act as a representative of the bank to potential referral partners, including real estate agents and financial consultants.
- Review and organize loan documentation to ensure precision and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Facilitate the loan underwriting process, pre-qualification, and provide mortgage counseling.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of mortgage regulations and necessary documentation.
- Monitor interest rates and compile surveys of mortgage products.
- Provide support throughout the loan process as needed.
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in mortgage banking, ideally in a production capacity.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Experience with Encompass software is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows operating systems.
- Willingness to travel and meet clients outside of standard business hours.
- NMLS registration is mandatory.
The base salary for this role at Amalgamated Bank is $62,400.00, plus commissions, with potential variations based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
