Amalgamated Bank is seeking a committed Spanish-speaking Residential Loan Officer to enhance their operations. This hybrid position entails overseeing and soliciting new residential mortgage and HELOC loan applications while engaging with Spanish-speaking clients and referral partners.

  • Generate new residential mortgage business through both internal and external referral networks
  • Assist clients inquiring about mortgage loan offerings
  • Act as a representative of the bank to potential referral partners, including real estate agents and financial advisors
  • Gather and assess loan documentation for precision
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations
  • Facilitate loan underwriting and mortgage counseling sessions
  • Possess knowledge of mortgage regulations, documentation, and forms
  • Support in monitoring rates and loan processing activities
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in mortgage banking, fluent in Spanish

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience with Encompass preferred
  • Willingness to travel and meet clients outside of regular hours
  • NMLS registration or the ability to obtain NMLS approval

Compensation: $62,400.00 base salary plus commissions, subject to variation based on multiple factors
