Technical Support Specialist

We are hiring a Technical Support Specialist with technical acumen, common sense, and basic assembly / electrical knowledge to join our team. A Service Technician is a customer facing role that helps the customer troubleshoot and problem solve. Primary communication is by phone and email. Someone who excels in the position is one who is personable, works quickly, yet carefully and can assess a situation and applies problem-solving skills. Service Technicians work individually and on teams to solve customer’s issues and provide excellent customer service.
JOB DUTIES:
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
- Maintains customer records by updating account information.
- Maintains a log of phone and customer service activities.
- Issues and closes RMA’s as necessary.
- Maintains financial accounts by working with sales to ensure customers are charged and compensated properly.
- Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
- Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
- Manages the claim process for damaged equipment.
- Works on the manufacturing floor as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or must demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities.
- Technical military experience or experience as a Repair Technician is also applicable/preferred.
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Good customer service skills a must
- Ability to problem solve
- Can work individually and on a team
- Organized and detail oriented
- Willing to learn and self-motivated
- Trustworthy and reliable
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in Electronics preferred.
- Ability to sit for 7 – 8 hours per day
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to navigate and learn computer systems quickly
PAY:
$19+ DOE
