Overview:

Floor Plan company looking for an In-House general counsel. Attorney will support and work closely with senior management. You will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of our firm's operations, provide strategic advice and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The general counsel will play a critical role in guiding the firm through relevant legal issues, managing risk, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of the company
  • Provide legal advice and guidance
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on cases.
  • Manage case files throughout the litigation stage
  • Daft and file complaints
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Prepare and attend mediations and court hearings
  • Develop trial strategies
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process
  • Review business agreements as needed

Qualifications

  • Good standing with CA state Bar
  • Minimum of 2 Year experience
  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in litigation, including conducting trials and hearings.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
