The Claims Manager will work with the field operations team, office staff, and product team to promote, build, train, and execute a single hail solution that not only meets our contractual obligations but increases our operational efficiency by using the same resources to service multiple clients at the same or multiple locations. This includes but is not limited to, call center intake/scheduling, identification of resources, deployment of said resources, pre-storm orientation, location management, and client claims reporting. They will ensure that state and client-specific requirements are adhered to and documented.
Duties and responsibilities
· Manage multiple clients in a single location or locations using the same resources;
· Build direct relationships with clients and make deployment decisions that provide repair opportunities to support service center and affiliate operations;
· Provide daily reporting as required by the client and direct supervisors;
· Manage dispatch, no-shows, and escalations daily;
· Review and support supplement team;
· Implement new processes or refine existing ones to optimize the claims process;
· Planning, carrying out, and supervising process trials in the field and affiliate services;
· Work with the field operations team during the scale-up of the claims inspection process and ensure quality is maintained during large deployments;
· Improve capacity by reducing costs, investigate alternative methods of inspection and claims handling;
· Validate new processes and demonstrate that they are an improvement;
· Effectively train and provide individual feedback regarding hail repair capture opportunities;
· Work with other field managers to develop and implement “In Time” training and feedback for staff and vendors;
· Work directly with the SVP of Claims to ensure operational efficiency across all inspection sites.
Direct reports
· Inside claims group (Claims Specialist and temps.)
Requirements:· College preferred but not required;
· Auto physical damage knowledge and claims process required;
· Ability to supervise inside and field teams both directly and remotely;
· Strong analytical skills;
· Strong understanding of contractual obligations regarding field inspection services;
· Proven operational experience;
· Ability to workflow, implement, and monitor complex claims solutions, including sales opportunities;
· Strong customer service skills;
· Must have strong communication skills;
· Must be able to multi-task;
· Working knowledge of CCC, Audatex, and Mitchell estimating platforms or the ability to learn;
· Ability to communicate and spearhead change across organization lines;
· Microsoft Office product knowledge and Smartsheet are required.
· Must be willing to travel overnight 50% of the time;
· Must have a High School Diploma or GED
· Must have a minimum of 5 years of automotive estimate claim experience
Working conditions
· Ability to work evenings and weekends from home.
Physical requirements
· Ability to work extended hours, workdays, and limited breaks when needed.
