Position Overview

As a Claims Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include evaluating and processing claims and expenses, managing new claims, and finalizing outstanding ones while collaborating with various internal departments.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)

Hybrid work arrangement available post-training: 3 days in-office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote (Wednesday and Friday).

Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and assess necessary documentation for effective claim resolution.
  • Engage with Transportation Carriers, Insurers, and Customers to obtain vital information.
  • Support the resolution of claims and facilitate payment collection.
  • Oversee customer claims portals and generate monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with external entities such as third-party claims management and insurance providers.
  • Ensure collection of payments for damages attributed to the carrier.
  • Take personal accountability for managing changes effectively.
  • Analyze weekly data to identify trends among Drivers and Customers.
  • Examine data to highlight damage trends for further action.
  • Assist in implementing preventative strategies to minimize claims.
  • Manage the entire claims mitigation process.
  • Conduct end-of-month auditing and balancing checks.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to two years of experience in claims resolution is preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a capacity for innovative thinking.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Familiarity with the Transportation or Automotive Industry is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated personal accountability in managing change.
  • Critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues effectively.
