Position: Claims Processor
Contract Duration: 12 Months+ with Potential for Conversion
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Compensation: $22 per hour
Role Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the examination and adjudication of both paper and electronic claims under direct supervision. Your primary objective will be to ensure claims are processed in accordance with the organization's established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in claims processing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
- Proven ability to process a significant volume of claims daily, ideally having handled at least 300 claims.
- Comprehensive training will be provided for a duration of 4 to 6 weeks, with a commitment of 8 hours per day.
Working Hours:
Shifts are available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Claims Examination:** 60% of your time will be dedicated to reviewing and resolving non-adjudicated claims, identifying essential processing requirements based on contracts and policies. You will utilize automated systems to ensure accurate completion of claims, facilitating timely payments.
2. **Research and Application:** 25% of your responsibilities will involve researching procedures and applying training materials to guarantee precise claims processing. Collaboration with the Quality team will be necessary for clarification on complex claims, along with participation in ongoing training.
3. **Productivity Reporting:** 10% of your role will include compiling daily productivity data for management, which will be utilized for performance statistics, scheduling, and quality improvement initiatives.
4. **Interdepartmental Collaboration:** 5% of your time will be spent working with various departments to provide feedback, resolve issues, and address basic processing inquiries.
