Position Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth of Volks Resources' EF&I services by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and closing deals that align with the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the EF&I industry, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Proactively research and identify potential clients and markets for EF&I services. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Client relationship management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that align with their business goals.
- Sales strategy development: Work closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market penetration. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to refine sales tactics.
- Proposal and contract negotiation: Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations with prospective clients. Ensure that all agreements meet company objectives and are mutually beneficial.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
- Market intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact the EF&I services market. Use this knowledge to inform business development strategies.
- Reporting and analysis: Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior management. Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve sales performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the EF&I or telecommunications industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of EF&I services and the telecommunications infrastructure market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
