The Baton Rouge Water Company, a privately owned company, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team.

The Human Resources Generalist will partner with the HR team in the development and administration of HR programs, policies, and benefits. The HR Generalist has responsibility for a wide array of HR areas including but not limited to: recruiting, hiring process, benefits administration, employee relations, wellness, labor relations, compliance, workers compensation, performance management, leave administration, training and development and policy administration.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or another business-related field of study is strongly preferred. At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources areas such as employment, employee relations, benefits administration, training and development, leave administration, wellness and performance management is needed. A SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus. Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook. Experience with SAP and Success Factors is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be a versatile HR Professional who can pivot to emerging needs and priority changes while also navigating ambiguous situations and has the desire and ability to expand responsibilities including management.
