Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Partners with broker and service providers to prepare executive reports and actively monitor plan performance against budgets and strategic goals.
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
  • Ability to work between multiple teams and partners.
  • Partners with brokers and clients to ensure smooth open enrollment process for employees.
  • Partners with insurance brokers/carriers to distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility.
  • Acts as liaison between broker and client to ensure proper benefit administration for client and employees
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from clients, managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Partners with Leave Coordinator to assist in the process of all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
  • Provides clients with necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Reconciles benefits invoices for clients monthly

Seeking candidates with experience in:

  • Benefits administration of multiple plan offerings
  • Partnering with brokers to facilitate benefits open enrollments
  • Assisting employees with benefits related claims and inquiries
  • Excellent knowledge of benefits compliance and filing deadlines
  • Knowledge of 401(K) programs
  • Experience leading a team

Position Requirements:

  • College level degree, or experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for education
  • Minimum of 4 years’ benefits administration experience
  • HRIS experience is preferred; Paycor, Paylocity, iSolved
  • Experience with Employee Navigator, Ease and other enrollment systems is required
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of Excel, MS Office Suite and Outlook
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others
  • Positive, friendly, can-do attitude
