A large pallet company in the Southern Indiana area is in need of an experienced manufacturing Supervisor for their Cut Production department. This is a full-time temp to hire position on 1st shift - 5:30am to 4pm with weekly pay. Must have previous proven managerial and/or supervision experience in the manufacturing industry, at least two years of experience preferred. Ability to speak & understand Spanish is preferred, however, not required. If non-bilingual, must be comfortable using google translate.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Trains and manages KWP production employees located on the cut floor of the facility.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the entire production cut floor.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations weekly, biannually and on an annual basis in accordance with KWP policy and procedures.
  • Ensures each day’s production sheets, for each team member, are accurate and completed properly.
  • Set accurate expectations for team members and support them in achieving KWP production expectations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all production cut operations
  • Collaborates with the Production Manager regarding daily work schedules to ensure streamlined operations of workflow and productivity in the cut department.
  • Competent and flexible with custom change-orders and ensures coordination with assembly/build department.
  • Ensures accuracy of incoming lumber and the overall organization of the lumber yard.
  • Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
  • Ensures that products are identified and warehoused correctly.
  • Troubleshoots issues that arise quickly and efficiently
  • Notifies management of any equipment problems.
  • Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
  • Performs any and all other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production cut operations and machinery.
  • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Must have a minimum of four months previous Forklift experience.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have previous proven managerial and/or supervision experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least two years of experience preferred.
  • Prior exceptional work experience with KWP preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse the production facility and the plant grounds
  • Must be able to lift 50 plus pounds routinely throughout your schedule.
