Sales Leader/Manager

Acme Dock Specialists (www.acmedock.com) has always provided its customers with top notch products and service.  With continued growth, Acme Dock Specialists is looking for a Sales Leader/Manager. This position will be responsible for maximizing sales for the Company through effective leadership, management, and training of the salesforce as well as ensuring repetitive sales through the development of positive long-term customer relationships. Company salespeople occupy offices in Kansas City (MO), Omaha (NE), Springfield (MO), and Wichita (KS).

The Acme Dock sales team (currently 17 sales professionals) provides capital equipment and services to a customer base of end users such as Fortune 500 manufacturers and distribution centers. Additionally, the Company works with general contractors, architects, and developers in the construction of new facilities. This position will focus on representing our major capital equipment lines and services to existing accounts and new customers, as well as the development of new customer relationships.

Other duties that will be assigned to this position include:  

As Sales Leader/Manager, the incumbent will provide ongoing assistance to the salesforce through direct sales involvement. In addition, the Sales Leader/Manager will provide guidance in the form of sales training including the development of sales strategies which result in maximizing the effectiveness of the salespeople in the field.  

Working with the President, this position will be responsible for establishing annual objectives for all sales employees as well as required disciplinary actions.

This position is responsible for the development, monitoring, and execution of individual Salesperson Territory Business Plans. The Company uses Salesforce as the CRM platform. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all sales plans using Salesforce.

This position is responsible for conducting quarterly performance reviews of all Salespeople including salesperson's performance to objectives, Territory Business Plans, major projects, etc., including a written follow up letter to each salesperson.

This position is responsible for conducting monthly Sales Meetings, involving all Sales personnel. These meetings will incorporate the latest in selling strategies, sales tools, product introductions, etc... as well as serve as an opportunity to review Company and individual sales performance. In such meetings, salespeople will participate directly through their presentations and demonstrations of various sales tools, sales strategies, etc. as they relate to the sales process.  

This position will personally participate and take responsibility for the selling strategies and activities of all Major Jobs and Accounts.

The Sales Leader/Manager is expected to be in the field approximately 60% of the time. The amount of overnight travel will vary from month to month, but will be consistent to all three branch locations.

Required Experience:

-Four Year College Degree

-At least five years of sales experience, within the industry (or serving a similar customer base) is preferred

-Outstanding work ethic and tenacious drive to succeed

-Strong computer skills

-Excellent organizational skills

-Good mechanical aptitude helpful

-Valid driver's license and good driving record required
