We are currently seeking a team member to join our office in Kansas City, Kansas.

Founded in 1972, Inventory Sales Company is a premier distributor of all types of fasteners, strut channel and fittings, sign hardware and weld studs. We are service driven at ISC by having short lead times, a wide selection of products, and customized inventory programs.

Inside Sales Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day to day operations of inside sales team.
  • Supervise inside sales department to ensure team members meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Maintain and reinforce corporate sales strategy with Inside Sales Team.
  • Provide team-wide, highly visible leadership and communication including current prospects, competitive information, and customer feedback.
  • Develop and improve inside sales processes to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage medium customer base.
  • Sustain and enhance a high level of customer service and satisfaction on all sales transactions.
  • Review and align inside sales territory assignments.
  • Approve credits, charges, and special shipping arrangements.
  • Develop and implement strategic goals that directly support corporate objectives.
  • Interview, hire and train new employees.
  • Provide sales reports and feedback to executive management team.
  • Coordinate, oversee and/or manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping, janitorial work, etc.
  • Possess and follow behavioral competencies and necessary skills to achieve overall company desired results and expectations.
  • Help create and foster a collaborative and team-based environment and culture across all functional departments within ISC
  • Act as POC for office improvements/repairs and for business vendors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises 5-10 non-supervisory employees in the Inside Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a sales manager, in a distribution environment, is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A positive and high-energy attitude is a must
  • Be comfortable with computers, software and phone systems (i.e. CRM, MS Office and MS Teams)
  • Track record of surpassing goals in a fast-paced sales setting
