Position Overview:

Youth Dynamics’ vision is to see youth transformed by the power of Christ, integrated into the local church, and impacting their world for Him. This full-time ministry position exists to support this vision. This position is funded by personal support-raising.


This role will be partially responsible for the Human Resources program, policies, and practices, either performing the following duties personally or delegating to individuals throughout the ministry.


Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Develop and implement an organization-wide hiring strategy, in concert with our Human Resources Director.
  • Post and maintain open positions.
  • Recruit to ensure adequate pool of qualified current applicants.
  • Pre-Hire process: Screen applicants, conduct applicant tracking, assist hiring managers in the selection process. Monitor application of policies for uniformity and fairness throughout the ministry. Ensure managers have all necessary tools to make job offers (e.g. wage scale, insurance options, job descriptions).
  • Oversee hiring process including processing applications and reference forms, and background checks.
  • Potential to own the organizational onboarding training process.
  • Working with staff to influence the hiring process for seasonal staff. Advise these teams, and assist in our goal of pipeline development.
  • Identify compatible recruiting opportunities and represent Youth Dynamics there. Some travel required for this portion of the role.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor (HR Director).
  • Candidate must live in the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, ID). Preference for someone located near one of our adventure base locations. Occasional travel required.


Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Supervises: Some oversight of area Staffing Managers

Works Collaboratively with: Directors of Staffing Managers, Recruiting Team, Support Services


Qualifications:

  1. Active and growing relationships with Christ and willingness to sign Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational, and experiential backgrounds
  2. A passion for reaching young people
  3. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (or related) and 3 or more years of human resource or recruiting experience (preferred).
  4. Knowledge of general business administration including personnel practices and employment laws.
  5. Knowledge of recruiting principles and practices. Skill in assessing operation, program, staffing and fiscal needs.
  6. Clear, concise, and compelling communication skills (written and oral)
  7. Collaborative management style and approach. Strong leadership skills.
  8. Attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  9. Able to work well independently and within a team.
