We are collaborating with a dynamic and expanding organization in the construction sector that is in search of a committed Human Resources Assistant. This role is vital in providing crucial administrative support to the HR Manager and CEO, ensuring the seamless and effective functioning of the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to learn, be proficient in data management, and have the potential to master various HR responsibilities and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update electronic HR documents, files, and records accurately.
  • Support the President/CEO and HR Manager with various administrative duties.
  • Complete Form I-9, verify supporting documents, and ensure I-9 files are current.
  • Provide assistance with payroll processing, respond to employee inquiries, and distribute checks.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation processes.
  • Coordinate training sessions for field personnel.
  • Organize travel arrangements and accommodations for staff.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events, including employee recognition ceremonies, holiday celebrations, retirement parties, anniversary events, and birthday celebrations, while providing support during these activities.
  • Offer technical support for HRIS, troubleshooting, and guidance to users.
  • Schedule interviews with candidates and assist in reviewing applications and resumes.
  • Conduct background checks and reference verifications.
  • Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes and procedures, including software requirements.
  • Generate management reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, along with pertinent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong time management abilities.
  • Capable of handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
