Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage annual goals and budgets for the Services and Parts departments, aligning with the organization’s financial and operational targets.
  • Oversee daily shop service operations, including prioritizing tasks, managing manpower, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of work.
  • Ensure all shop service activities are conducted accurately and efficiently, maintaining tools and equipment, and adhering to safety standards. Communicate necessary tool updates with the supervisor.
  • Implement PIP improvements and manage troubleshooting diagnostics with technicians and manufacturers.
  • Actively promote additional services to customers, upsell, and enhance overall satisfaction. Provide regular updates on repair status and address issues to minimize customer inconvenience and enhance the dealership’s reputation.
  • Address customer grievances promptly, follow company policies, and recommend exceptions as needed. Report significant concerns to the Branch Manager.
  • Coordinate with the parts department for parts requirements, manage service work orders, and track technician hours efficiently.
  • Handle warranty documentation, ensuring timely submission and monitoring until final credit is received.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Document and communicate factory recall procedures, and participate in training and management meetings with the Branch Manager.
  • Report any issues related to customer satisfaction, employee relations, or product performance to the Manager.
  • Cross-train on product knowledge and procedures for all company-represented products.
  • Support the development of direct reports, backfill similar roles as necessary, and perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the Service and/or Parts Department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other internet-based applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing teams.
  • Familiarity with brand equipment and competitive products.
  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting internal reports to drive improvements.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a valid driver’s license.
