SUMMARY

Quality Engineer will support Aerospace programs ensuring the build, assembly, and testing of all hardware and ensure all quality requirements are met. Without the strength of our quality team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking a Quality Engineer to work in the quality department. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Quality Engineer.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Quality Engineer supporting Aerospace programs ensuring the build, assembly, and test of all hardware meet quality requirements

· Schedule and perform audit activities, to include pre-audit planning, audit execution and evaluation and post-audit follow-up and recommendations

· Assist operating units with development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans to improve overall ISO compliance and quality results

· Present to managers on improvement projects and activities

· Plan and execute projects and team activities to facilitate changes that have a statistical impact on business results, especially as it relates to meeting and exceeding customer expectations

· Review and approval of Drawing Changes Task, Test Procedure reviews, manufacturing work instructions reviews and PO instructions to External Providers

· Responsible for ensuring all engineering requirements are met prior to performing Product Acceptance

· Responsible for generating and maintaining First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for complete product including fabricating applicable required mechanical and physical test reports

· Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place

· Support constraint reviews for manufacturing operations and applicable test protocols, assuring all constraints are captured and communicated in a professional timely manner.

· May analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality control tests

· Provide Frequent Activity Reports to Management, highlighting critical activities and major occurrences

· Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action

· Work may include support of Quality metrics generation

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

• Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs) and reports per AS9102

• Well versed in GD&T, interpreting drawings and standards

• Supply Chain or Quality Engineering experience

• Have knowledge of quality systems, demonstrated use of standard problem solving, troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis skills

• Ability to perform floor support functions and make appropriate quality decisions

• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

LICENSING & CERTIFICATION

· Quality/statistical related certifications advantageous (ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean) preferred

· Professional auditing experience preferable. Quality certification, or RAB certification preferred
