Position Overview

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer II plays a crucial role in the development lifecycle by conducting thorough research, design, programming, and testing of proprietary software systems, as well as integrating off-the-shelf hardware and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze software applications and SQL scripts to identify and rectify bugs and defects.
  • Implement a variety of testing methodologies to assess the quality of product functionalities.
  • Develop and refine automation scripts or tools, debugging proprietary software applications in accordance with design specifications.
  • Acquire knowledge and create application forms and reports utilizing Crystal Reports Designer.
  • Assist QA Testers by formulating testing strategies and evaluating features and functionalities.
  • Document the testing procedures and present them for review upon completion.
  • Utilize source debuggers and visual development environments effectively.
  • Enhance existing reporting tools, features, and customized reports for both internal and client use.
  • Construct and execute database queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient coding abilities in various programming environments, including C#, XML, HTML/JavaScript/CSS, and TSQL.
  • Ability to make routine decisions regarding daily procedures that impact individual work.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and MS SQL databases.
  • Intermediate debugging and testing skills to elevate test quality.
  • Strong analytical skills to address problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Ability to make moderately complex decisions concerning routine matters.
  • Capable of resolving problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Utilizes knowledge to enhance existing procedures, services, programs, or technologies.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in software quality assurance testing.

Compensation

The anticipated starting base salary for this role ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. The actual pay rate will be determined based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
