JOB SUMMARY:

This is a full-time, salaried position, with daily attendance required at our Corporate Headquarters.

As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising the day-to-day activities of the accounting department relating to accounts payable and accounts receivable,
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with other departments to implement controls and procedures for processing indirect material and services.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Audit and identify delinquent accounts.
  • Assist in the collection of past due accounts.
  • Verifies customer credit limits and applicable payment terms.
  • Assist with resolving vendor invoice issues.

The Accounting Manager will be collaborating with the Controller to establish protocols and procedures for the accounting department and offer strategic guidance and advice to improve processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • We value real world experience, and you will need a minimum of [3] years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least [3] years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

WHAT WE OFFER:

This is a full-time salaried position and Service Metal wants to compensate you for your hard work and experience. We value your input on our team. In addition, we offer one of the best benefits packages in the industry. In addition to being paid weekly you will be getting full benefits after 90 days (about 3 months), that include premiums fully paid by the company for Health, Dental, Life, and Disability insurance. Also, the Company offers a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Service Metal reimburses our employees for their medical deductibles. We offer numerous other low-cost optional benefits for employees and their families.

We offer a 401K retirement plan with a 3.5% match from the company. We also offer participation in a profit-sharing plan, with a discretionary company contribution, after the first year.

We promote a work/life balance by offering a generous PTO allowance program, and it is earned weekly from the first day. We also have paid holidays, a floating holiday, and paid parental leave.

We pay a yearly discretionary bonus based on the company meeting targeted goals.
