Key Responsibilities:

· Generate financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to deliver accurate and timely financial insights.

· Conduct account reconciliations, including bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to maintain precise financial records.

· Engage in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation and recording of journal entries and accruals.

· Prepare journal entries for the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and transaction recording.

· Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, collaborating with various departments to achieve financial objectives.

· Develop financial reports and budget forecasts based on analyzed financial data.

· Collect information to assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.

· Support external audits by providing necessary documentation.

· Utilize financial software and ERP systems, recommending enhancements or upgrades as necessary.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to boost efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

· Generate financial records and statements for management review.

· Maintain and analyze general ledgers as required.

· Investigate budget discrepancies and variances.

· Keep records of assets, liabilities, and other financial activities within the organization.

· Adhere to processing and reporting deadlines.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

· Strong knowledge of and adherence to GAAP reporting standards.

· Experience in the non-profit sector is advantageous.
