JOB SUMMARY The Product Development and Vendor Relationship Manager is part of the Strategic Growth and Product Development team and is responsible for developing and managing products through the product life cycle for the Medicare Advantage market and responsible for the holistic management of external supplemental benefit vendors’ and stakeholders’ relationships. This role will develop new products and enhance existing capabilities to drive growth in covered lives across HealthTeam Advantage’s Medicare product portfolio. This is an individual contributor role that will take guidance and direction from the Director of Strategic Growth and Product Development along with the Growth Steering Committee to execute on the major responsibilities of the role. This individual contributor will engage in all phases of the product lifecycle to ideate, develop, deliver, and manage products for customer use. The right candidate will make data-driven decisions, be an effective communicator, have an eye for details and display an entrepreneurial work-ethic. This position also oversees supplemental benefits vendor identification and monthly performance of the Plan’s vendor partners. Accountable for offering innovative guidance and solutions to address emerging portfolio business needs and respond to growth initiatives to appropriately scale vendor relationships to meet business demands. Vendor responsibilities include oversight of internal implementation, onboarding of vendor resources, monitoring and managing performance, and mitigating risks to ensure service delivery by vendors is in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between parties. The right candidate will enjoy working closely with functional subject matter experts and taking the initiative to prioritize and manage assigned projects while meeting deadlines. This role will be expected to communicate regularly with the departmental director and the plan’s governing and decision-making Growth Steering Committee. Develop and maintain reporting measurements that define product success, influences product strategy and roadmap, provides consumer insights and analysis of market findings rooted in data. Participates in the vendor selection and implementation process for new benefit solutions. The Product Development and Vendor Relationship Manager assists the Director of Strategic Growth and Product Development in the plan design including evaluating existing products and performance; developing new plan designs and new geographic markets designed to maximize profitable growth and membership targets for existing and new products and markets while maintaining a high level of member and provider satisfaction. This individual is a key member of the bid, marketing, and regulatory processes. As a product manager, this individual is responsible for growing the product and benefits portfolio to meet financial and departmental/divisional goals; and to align with the company’s brand and user experience. Partner closely with relevant stakeholders to define and improve the product development process. The Product Manager will ensure that the products brought to market meet customer (e.g., member, broker, purchaser, internal customers, etc.) needs and expectations. Research, meet and evaluate vendors’ products and services to ensure they are an appropriate business partner fit. Monitor performance metrics and goals for assigned programs to ensure that metrics are established and that the business targets are met or exceeded. Collaborate with business stakeholders and operational departments on resolving issues related to maintaining product levels, service level agreements, and achieving organizational goals. Drive delivery of new product launches and vendor onboarding, from idea stage, to implementation, and post-implementation management. Develops and manages the implementation and launch of new benefits and products and associated vendor partners in existing or expansion counties and states. Continually monitor industry and market trends to determine which products and services are more popular than others and support the plan’s product and vendor management strategy and goals.Perform operational tasks within the product lifecycle to include new product introduction, planning and scheduling, availability, and dashboard management.Provides market and segment analysis, product definition, and competitive assessment of both products and provider networks. Oversee evaluation of vendor performance, including providing reporting and analytical data to leadership and key stakeholders. Analyze product performance and share data and results regularly with Growth Steering Committee and leadership for decision-making purposes. Ensures all products are compliant with regulatory directives and state/federal laws and policies, including working with appropriate areas on licensure. Support the Director of Strategic Growth and Product Development to overseeing and managing the annual CMS bid process. Creates, maintains, and supports the communication of benefit documentation and information across the company to operationalize the products. Coordinate with plan’s outside actuarial firm on tasks and deliverables associated to the annual bid development and submission cycle. Works within the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) to file and download required regulatory filing templates and training materials; attends regulatory trainings, performs reviews, and collaborates with various cross-functional departments and senior management to ensure proper approvals and documentation are obtained to meet all CMS regulatory requirements prior to filing. Responsible for compliance with all federal and/or state requirements for full suite of portfolio solutions. Ensure products adhere to relevant standards, and all filing requirements/deadlines are met. Responsible for supporting and assisting with annual implementation readiness activities and communication of market expansions, new products, benefits, including support of readiness review activities with various cross-functional departments, including internal and external marketing communications. Oversee product description and accuracy in materials and on website (product description documents, contracts, sales support materials, communications/publications, web-materials, etc.) to ensure that these documents support existing product specifications and reflect the current product offering, administration and/or the modifications resulting from new initiatives. Leads training of internal and external stakeholders and assures that materials and communications accurately reflect features and value proposition. Product and benefits subject matter expert, provide benefit clarifications to internal/external departments to ensure proper administration/education of benefits internally and externally. Manages vendor relationships associated with features or supplemental products and services.Develops metrics, reporting, and insights that drive team to implement needed changes that address performance, opportunities, and issues.
