We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Product Developer to join our team at Kontoor Brands, Inc. As a key liaison between the Brand and Supply chain, you will be responsible for ensuring best-in-class quality, on-time execution of the product line, and meeting margin goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Pattern/Tech Design to generate accurate and complete technical specification packages.
• Collaborate with Fabric/Wash teams to engineer high-quality, cost-effective products.
• Organize garment sampling orders and coordinate product approval submissions from suppliers to meet calendar due dates.
• Manage tracking of development and product sampling activities to ensure timely delivery of briefs, protos, salesman, pre-production size sets approvals, and final manufacturing-ready product.
• Evaluate and submit accurate development product costing in adherence to critical calendar milestones and margin goals.
• Analyze costs to margin expectations and identify viable cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with Design on seasonal line development to ensure alignment throughout the development process.
• Manage final Line Sheets for production-ready pass off.
• Implement efficient, streamlined workflow processes and working tools for optimal execution accuracy, shortening lead times, lowering minimums, and costs.
Requirements:
• 3+ years' experience in Apparel product development/sourcing/manufacturing.
• 3+ years' experience in-depth apparel industry knowledge, particularly in Denim.
• Experience working in medium-large companies interacting with cross-functional teams.
• University degree or equivalent.
• High proficiency with MS Office applications (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Word).
• Efficient time management in multi-tasking priorities and meeting calendar deadlines.
• Excellent verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills.
• Result-driven, 'can-do' attitude, service-oriented team player.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
Preferred Experience:
• Technical college textile-related field.
