  • Effectively move share from competitors to hotel, achieving desired RevPAR index goals through proper mix of business.
  • Ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting past and new business.
  • Effectively communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Meet/exceed client needs and resolve complaints.
  • Grow existing key accounts as well as solicit new business and / or target groups to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget
  • Actively solicit business via phone, telemarketing, cold calls, warm calls, and site visits to meet targeted goals.
  • Ensure ongoing hotel sales of designated market segment (Corporate, Leisure, Tours & Travel, etc.) and group segments are achieved through solicitation of organizations, professional market segment associations, travel agents, consortiums etc., on a consistent basis.
  • Optimize revenue by monitoring all distribution channels.
  • Consult with the General Manager, DOS and Corporate Director of Revenue Management on rate/inventory suitability of potential group business and review STAR Reports to ensure hotel is positioned in the market properly.
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare status and period end reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and hotel procedures, products and competition, including their strengths and weaknesses, to continually improve sales strategies and achieve goals.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in communication and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote sales.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as required.
  • Local travel required. Own vehicle required for sales calls.
  • Other duties as deemed appropriate by Director of Sales.

Supervisory Duties: May supervise sales staff.
