Summary:
Meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable and win-win selling approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
- Effectively move share from competitors to hotel, achieving desired RevPAR index goals through proper mix of business.
- Ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting past and new business.
- Effectively communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner.
- Meet/exceed client needs and resolve complaints.
- Grow existing key accounts as well as solicit new business and / or target groups to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget
- Actively solicit business via phone, telemarketing, cold calls, warm calls, and site visits to meet targeted goals.
- Ensure ongoing hotel sales of designated market segment (Corporate, Leisure, Tours & Travel, etc.) and group segments are achieved through solicitation of organizations, professional market segment associations, travel agents, consortiums etc., on a consistent basis.
- Optimize revenue by monitoring all distribution channels.
- Consult with the General Manager, DOS and Corporate Director of Revenue Management on rate/inventory suitability of potential group business and review STAR Reports to ensure hotel is positioned in the market properly.
- Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Prepare status and period end reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and hotel procedures, products and competition, including their strengths and weaknesses, to continually improve sales strategies and achieve goals.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in communication and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote sales.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as required.
- Local travel required. Own vehicle required for sales calls.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by Director of Sales.
Supervisory Duties: May supervise sales staff.
