As an Administrative Assistant II you would be providing adminstrative and operational support to approximately 200 ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners clinical providers.

Work Schedule:

  • 4 night shifts per week: 10:00pm - 8:00am

  • Rotating nights and every other weekend

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Assign all patients on the Hospitalist service to a provider prior to their scheduled shift via the EMR based on the established algorithm. Utilize the verification process to confirm that all patients are accounted for. Review the records for all non-cohorted patients to ensure that details related to discharge readiness were added and reach out to assigned providers to complete if missing. 

  •  Maintain CCHP pager system by ensuring that Qgenda and Vocera accurately reflect staffing assignments and make changes as needed when callouts occur.

  •  Assist with submitting and tracking the provider payroll. 

  • Maintain calendar/schedule for the CCHP clinical leaders at all campuses along with the Manager of Practice Operations. Track and submit invoices through Workday for your assigned provider.

  • Assist with scheduling and creating interview itineraries for all incoming new hires.

  • Assist with the credentialing process for all new providers.

  • Coordinate with the Medical-Dental Staff Office and assist in keeping certifications, credentialing, and personnel files up to date.

  •  Provide administrative support for CCHP department and staff projects. 

  • Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.  Report to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients or visitors.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Five years’ work experience in administrative or secretarial positions showing job duties of increased responsibility and/or complexity preferred

  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in healthcare, preferably in an acute care setting.

  • Work experience dealing with the public and managing customer complaints

  • Work experience that involved maintaining confidentiality
