The Business Development/Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in guiding the growth of the organization.

The person who will be most successful in this role is one with a proven ability to:

• Build strong, trusting relationships with prospective customers.

• Open and nurture new channels to sell CORE Survival’s products.

• Develop and qualify opportunities to grow CORE Survival’s business.

• Excel at positioning, presenting, and negotiating win-win relationships.

• Implement best practices in all aspects of the sales process, including outreach, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), reporting, lead nurturing, etc.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the Business Development/Sales Manager include:

•  Research the industry to create and implement a sales strategy focused on new customer acquisition.

•  Build new relationships and nurture existing customers through all phases of the sales process. (Grow our market and maintain it).

• Guide and be accountable for responses to inbound sales opportunities and communication relevant to those opportunities.

•  Work with inside sales team to assure a smooth transition of the sales process and customer follow-up.

•  Act as point of contact for outside sales-related interest and technical questions.

• Manage all outside sales-related events including customer visits, reseller and end user events, and conference/trade shows, including communication with conference-related vendors, set-up, tear down and management of booth and/or location.

•  Lead sales meetings, including workshops and training sessions.

•  Work with the CORE Survival’s creative team to develop sales materials, booth design, product placement, and other marketing efforts.

• Work with CORE Survival’s leadership to plan sales tactics and develop a strategy to bring in new customers.

•  Provide regular feedback to leadership on lead nurturing progress, pending opportunities, and lost opportunities.

•  Keep updated with key trends and customers’ views and attitudes, as is necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

•   3+ years of experience with business development

•   Military background (preferably Army Special Forces/Operations - Airborne)

•   Highly organized and capable of managing multiple efforts simultaneously.

•   High level of initiative and ability to work autonomously. Both self-driven and a self-starter

•   Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills

•   Excellent written and oral communication skills

•   Experience in government contracting and have an understanding of how government funding works.

•   Must be a U.S. citizen. (Will be working with ITAR items)

•   Remote work acceptable, preferably based in central or eastern U.S.

•   Must be willing to travel 35-40% of the time.


COMPENSATION:

•   Expected pay: $90-120K per year salary range with benefits/incentives.
