Project engineer supporting Automated Storage and Retrieval systems projects for Battery group.

Job Description

  • Collaborate on the ongoing development of ASRS Standardization, closely tied to GM's Global Common Controls and Siemens Automation Framework Architecture.
  • Oversee the integration of control systems in both Vehicle Systems and Global Propulsion Systems on a global scale.
  • Tackle challenges head-on, utilizing your expertise in manufacturing automation technologies.
  • Participate in safety g-Risk activities with cross functional group
  • Support approval controls drawings and conducts controls run-offs at OEM site.
  • Solve / assist operational problems as required.
  • Support & actively interact with manufacturing operations group.
  • Support deployment of best common systems and methods as defined in the PT Global Controls Bill of Process
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent controls engineering experience
  • Technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines
  • Knowledge of motion control systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance of automation systems.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation or Siemens PLC and HMI's
  • Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others.
  • Proven ability in project management skills


Requirement

Need electrical or mechanical engineering 4-year technical degree with manufacturing experience. Need Controls background. Minimum of 5 years of working experience.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.

• PMI or PMP certification preferred.

• 8-10 years of experience required.

• Collaborate on the ongoing development of ASRS Standardization, closely tied to Common Controls and Siemens Automation Framework Architecture.

• Oversee the integration of control systems in both Vehicle Systems and Global Propulsion Systems on a global scale.
