StaffBright currently has an exciting Corporate Controls Engineer job opportunity near Livonia. We're seeking candidates with 3+ years of experience in controls.


What You Will Be Doing

  • This is a corporate position that focuses on pre-production projects and works with integrators. They partner heavily with Fanuc and manage automation projects for the company. They will work on projects for all 10 of their plants throughout the U.S., ensuring their equipment is ready to rock and the installation process is successful.
  • The Corporate Control engineers are involved in initial project sourcing for pre-production through launch (Typically 90+ days but some projects can last up to 1 year).
  • Responsible for the development of all RFQ’s and Equipment Specifications for Capital and Tooling Requirements, including all contract services, prior to SOP.
  • Main interface with machining, automation, and capital equipment vendors.
  • Responsible for all production process development / and final approvals including work cell layout, ergonomic workstation design, and line balancing
  • Responsible for development of Prototype and Production Process Documentation through SOP +90 days
  • Travel is generally required for project implementations, usually totaling 12 weeks or less per year.


What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

  • Pre-Production Planning Experience: Candidates should have experience in pre-production planning within a plant setting.
  • Tire and Wheel Experience: Ideal candidates will have experience with chassis or brake corners.
  • Process Optimization and Planning: Experience in process optimization and planning is required.
  • Sensor Integration: The plant will use scanners for mounting tires on wheels, so candidates must understand the complexities of sensor integration.
