The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to the human resources field. They should be comfortable onboarding new candidates and collecting necessary background information as well as assisting employees while at work. This candidate should work closely with management in order to provide training for employees and establish ways to increase employee engagement. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, effective communication and the ability to solve problems quickly. This individual will help drive a productive, compliant, and positive work environment that supports the overall success of the organization.


Responsibilities


Recruitment Coordination: Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, and manage the recruitment process for various roles, especially drivers and logistics staff.


  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive necessary training, orientation, and access to required resources.


  • Employee Support: Act as a point of contact for employees with HR-related questions or concerns, providing guidance and support on various issues.


  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.


  • Performance Reviews: Assist managers in conducting performance appraisals, providing tools and guidance for effective evaluations.


  • Feedback and Development: Work with employees and managers to develop performance improvement plans and identify opportunities for professional development.


  • Training Coordination: Schedule and facilitate training sessions on various topics, such as safety protocols, compliance, and professional skills.


  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as industry-specific regulations such as DOT requirements.


  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, performance evaluations, and training certifications.


  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages.


  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, answer benefits-related questions, and assist with open enrollment processes.


  • Reporting: Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics to provide insights to management and inform decision-making.


  • Special Projects: Participate in or lead HR projects and initiatives, such as implementing new HR systems, developing employee engagement programs, or conducting compensation reviews.


  • Change Management: Support change management efforts, including communicating changes to employees and providing necessary training and support.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in HR or related field
  • Strong organization, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in leading HR initiatives and aligning HR strategies with business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard new employees and manage HR tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
