Research Technician

The preferred candidate should have experience with Windows and the ability to learn and troubleshoot new technology. An understanding of Android cell phones and Bluetooth technology is beneficial.
Prefer candidates who have prior experience working in a laboratory and have CPR, CITI, and Bloodborne pathogen training.
Other duties may include but not limited to:
Monitoring and troubleshooting a computer system, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Android phone during a clinical trial. Data maintenance, which may involve compiling, coding, categorizing, and storing data in an electronic format. Handling and processing lab specimens. Organizing, setting up, and cleaning study devices
Compensation range $15-18/ per hour depending on incumbent experience.
This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year. For more information, refer to the Wage Employment link:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least 1 year of lab experience, which may include student experience.Bachelor's degree will be considered in lieu of experience.
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position can spend extensive periods of time standing and squatting while conducting experiments or caring for animals. Also requires keyboarding and other bench work and animal procedures requiring finer finger manipulation.
