Summary of Job Duties:


The Administrative Analyst will serve as administrative support for the functions of the Department of Rhetoric and Writing and will collaborate with various units within the college and the university.

This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience

  • Formal education equivalent to a high school diploma.
Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree or higher;
  • Experience with Banner, Workday, and/or Degree Works.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Essential Functions of the Rhetoric and Writing Department

  • At the direction of the chair, provide administrative support for all operations of the department, including all programs and the Writing Center;
  • Respond to inquiries from students, staff, faculty, and the public;
  • Assist the chair with various administrative tasks;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by chair;

Manage Finance and Budget:

  • Assist the chair with the department budget and purchase requisitions, and monitor expenditures;
  • Manage department lease and purchase contracts, including office equipment and office supplies;
  • Make travel arrangements for visitors and file for travel reimbursement;
  • Manage payrollrelated documents, purchase orders, and other procedural forms required by other entities on campus and with the department;

Manage Communications:

  • Assist in preparing reports, newsletters, outreach materials, and other documents;
  • Maintain proficiency in university computer programs and software applications;
  • Perform other duties as assigned;

Manage Human Resources:

  • Supervise workstudy students;
And other duties as assigned.
