Job Overview
The Financial Analyst is responsible for executing quantitative assessments and reporting that impacts the financial data across the organization.

This role encompasses various analyses, including but not limited to cost/benefit evaluations, long-term forecasting, cost trend analysis, root cause investigations, variance assessments, human capital evaluations, cost reduction strategies, profitability assessments, financial statement analyses, claims and premium evaluations, and other strategic planning initiatives.


Qualifications

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis. Alternatively, a relevant Master's degree with at least three (3) years of experience.

Statistical knowledge is essential.

Detail-Oriented

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Demonstrated analytical capabilities and expertise in developing and utilizing intricate financial models, including the ability to construct detailed models.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with financial reporting audits, collaborating with internal audits, regulatory bodies, independent auditors, and/or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. May assist in special projects as directed. May be required to analyze and review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Perform general accounting functions, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounting analysis, and reconciliation. Execute other duties as assigned. Prepare supporting financial data as required. Reconcile, confirm, and maintain general ledger accounts.
