Job Summary

The SAFe Product Owner will operate as part of an agile team to oversee the delivery of value to customers from start to finish in accordance with customers' needs and requirements. This includes aligning Team Backlogs with the needs of Customers, Business Owners, Business Subject Matter Expert SMEs and Stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accepts stories as done and fosters built-in quality
  • Builds and manages key relationships across the Enterprise
  • Ensures stories and enablers meet the acceptance criteria
  • Guides story creation from features and prioritizes the Team Backlog
  • Maintains business alignment in the Team Backlog
  • Participates in iteration events
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to less experienced SAFe Product Owners
  • Supports the implementation of Architectural Runway
  • Works with System Architect and team to understand and prioritize enablers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline (Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field)
  • SAFe Agilist (SA) OR SAFe Practitioner (SP) Certification preferred; required within one year
  • Minimum three (3) years' Product Owner, Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience supporting teams in end-to-end implementation
  • Basic working knowledge and experience using Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe
  • Basic understanding of market rhythms, events, opportunities, threats, and changing regulations
