DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales.

POSITION SUMMARY


The Assistant Director of the Career Development Center creates an inviting and professional atmosphere for all students, staff, faculty and employers.

Strong interpersonal skills, a high regard for detail and an ability to multi-task are required for this position.

The Assistant Director will be required to have impeccable written communication skills and capable of technology, website and social media maintenance.

Additional responsibilities for this position will include compiling and analyzing office data. This position will maintain the office budget and assist employers in navigating the website and internal job/internship posting board. The Assistant Director will have the ability to coach students using career development techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree preferred with 1-2+ years of experience
  • Excellent technology/computer skills including Microsoft Office, social media, CRM/Student Records
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment; must possess a "can-do" attitude
  • Excellent and professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Professional telephone manner and email correspondence
  • Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
  • Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
