The AVP Sales Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of a team of licensed financial advisors and leading a new office location. They will be responsible for overseeing and reporting on topics surrounding performance, talent management including recruiting, workforce management including administrative items, and client management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of a team and new office consisting of Financial Advisors, Client Service consultants and Operations staff
  • Build and foster a culture of growth, diversity and performance for all employees
  • Fostering a community environment, providing leadership to all, and acting as a point of contact between all of the partners that support the office
  • Diagnose team and office performance identifying opportunities to develop action plans to drive productivity
  • Develop and implement a consistent sales process for all team members
  • Drive client management and relationship deepening routines
  • Work with key partners to identify, develop and execute initiatives that improve Advisor productivity, enhance the client experience and accelerate new client acquisition
  • Manage all service center-like aspects efficiently ensuring business and client needs are met
  • Work with individual team members to problem solve, acting as point of escalation for Advisors and clients
  • Manage and execute end-to-end talent management process including hiring, onboarding, performing performance reviews and providing constructive feedback and coaching
  • Supervise the investment and relationship deepening process to ensure coordination and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Effectively work through advisor compensation and HR cases

Requirements:

  • Series 7, 66, 9/10 licensed (Required); Series 24 (a plus)
  • Additional designations are a plus: CFP, CRPC, CFA, CIMA, and/or AAMS
  • A minimum of 5 years in the financial services industry with at least 4 years in a sales leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated leadership, management and motivational skills
  • Deep understanding of opportunity channels available and how to tap into them for organic growth
  • Strong understanding of CRM tools, SLA management and segmentation of opportunity
  • A desire to lead, a passion for sales management, and a deep commitment to client service
  • Comprehensive industry and investment knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of success in advice delivery, sales leadership and overall leadership
  • Comfortable with change management
  • Proven track record of coaching and improving performance in others
  • Can attract, recruit and retain an effective sales and operations team
  • Exercises good judgment and experience to make timely and effective decisions

Pay Range:

-/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. This position is also eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
