The selected candidate will work in an MUFG office or client locations four days a week, with one day dedicated to remote work. More details will be provided by our recruitment team.

Position Overview:

This role is crucial in overseeing the operational activities related to the Corporate Banking sector's credit administration within the Middle Office. You will support a range of syndicated and bilateral transactions where MUFG acts as a lender and occasionally as the Administrative Agent. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating the initiation and modification of credit deals by interpreting credit agreements and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and policies. You will also liaise with various stakeholders, including business lines and back-office operations, to facilitate transaction bookings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with back office and front office teams to ensure the accurate and timely closing of new credit facilities.
  • Review and validate closing documentation related to the initiation or amendment of credit facilities.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and engage in process enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with department managers and teams to provide operational support for Credit Middle Office functions.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed to the highest standards while identifying opportunities for process improvements and enhanced controls.
  • Adhere to internal service level agreements (SLAs), metrics, and the bank's policies and requirements.
  • Proactively identify and address credit administration issues, escalating them as necessary for prompt resolution.
  • Maintain the quality of credit files and prepare for compliance reviews related to internal or external audits.
  • Organize and deliver operational training sessions on updated procedures and regulations in collaboration with your supervisor.
  • Manage all aspects of secondary loan trading closings and documentation with counterparties and potential investors.
  • Perform tasks associated with both pre-closing and post-closing phases of agency transactions.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking with a strong understanding of credit administration and operations.
  • Ability to analyze problems, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Supervisory experience is essential.
  • Prior experience in a credit middle office or loan operations team is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Loan Trading, including knowledge of ClearPar, is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
The typical base salary range for this position is between $80K - $100K, depending on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also qualify for discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
