Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of software applications. This position involves a comprehensive approach to quality assurance, focusing on requirement analysis, design, testing, and documentation to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the company's systems.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance evaluations for applications, websites, databases, and systems, addressing moderately complex challenges.
  • Develop and execute a wide range of testing activities, including test strategies, plans, and scripts, while maintaining quality documentation for various systems and applications.
  • Analyze business requirements thoroughly, engaging in detailed discussions to understand business needs and their impact on existing processes and system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to articulate and refine system features, functions, and workflows.
  • Establish and manage defect tracking processes for applications and systems.
  • Review application functionalities to ensure the effectiveness of test automation solutions.
  • Provide expertise in quality assurance methodologies and offer guidance on testing strategies.
  • Deliver advanced (Tier 2) support, including on-call assistance for critical issues outside of regular hours. Troubleshoot complex production issues, ensuring resolution or appropriate escalation, while actively seeking collaboration with other IT teams.
  • May act as the project Quality Lead, offering training and technical mentorship.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to develop a quality-focused strategy and execution plan.
  • Create or revise project documentation in accordance with Agile methodologies and standards.
  • Participate in or lead initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, procedures, guidelines, and metrics for the Quality team or IT organization.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring, consulting with other teams to deliver technology solutions for business requirements or to resolve challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, fostering a collaborative environment.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience is mandatory.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Software Quality Assurance role is essential.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel is required.
  • Experience in crafting complex SQL queries is necessary.
  • Background in data and analytics testing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with XLCubed is advantageous.
  • Experience in Finance or accounting is a significant plus.
  • Proven experience working in a collaborative team setting.
