Director, Property Sales
We're a venture-backed startup on a mission to change the future of hospitality and home. With properties in some of America's most-loved cities, our unique platform allows buildings to blur the line between hotels and apartments. This all-in-one solution includes property operations, customer acquisitions, and the tech stack to operate with more flexibility than any other company in the market.
Our tech-enabled buildings create one-of-a-kind guest experiences and tremendous value in the underlying real estate. Whether guests are with us for a night, a year, or somewhere in between, these are more than just spaces to spend the night—they're a place to call home.
Our property team members bring our business to life at each building, focusing on execution, along with resident and guest experience. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our platform.
The impact you'll have
As the Director of Property Sales for Placemakr, you will assume a pivotal role in formulating and executing a strategic sales plan. Your primary responsibility is to bolster the sales within your property/region to optimize revenue and net operating profit for our hotel properties. Provide inspirational leadership to the property sales team to drive the attainment and surpassing of sales goals, encompassing the group, corporate housing and corporate transient segments.
- Market Analysis: Stay attuned to market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights. Utilize this information to make judicious decisions and adapt the sales strategy accordingly.
- Team Management: Engage in the recruitment, selection, training, and mentorship of a cadre of highly skilled sales professionals. Offer continuous coaching and guidance to ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional sales performance.
- Client Relationships: Foster and uphold robust relationships with pivotal clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and industry collaborators. Foster growth and deepen business connections.
- Revenue Growth: Foster the development and oversight of sales pipelines, sales forecasts, and monitor key performance indicators to meet or exceed regional revenue growth objectives. Collaborate closely with the revenue and marketing teams to ensure alignment of the sales strategy with overarching revenue targets.
- Property Support: Collaborate with on-site sales and operations teams at each property to ensure they are well-prepared, motivated, and aligned with Placemakr's overall revenue objectives.
- Budget Management: Assume responsibility for regional sales budget administration, including expense oversight, cost control, and revenue forecasting.
- Contract Negotiation: Participate in and oversee contract negotiations with clients to ensure the establishment of favorable terms conducive to long-term partnerships.
- Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and strategic developments to senior leadership. Employ data-driven insights for continual process improvement.
- Competitive Sets: Conduct comprehensive reviews of competitive sets and benchmark Placemakr properties relative to the competitive set.
- Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
