Join the Oklahoma City Thunder's award-winning Guest Relations Team as we strive to be the most Fan-centric organization in professional sports. We are searching for teammates to assist with game nights, administrative support, and training & development. As a Guest Relations Associate, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for our staff and fans. In this role you will:Game Nights
  • Be available for working days and as well as evenings for Thunder home games
  • Serve as a Team Captain for one of our three Fan Information Booths providing leadership and support to our Guest Experience Representatives, addressing Fan needs and concerns, responding to Fans inquiries, and providing solutions for Fan issues.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable guide at the Paycom Center, equipped to answer questions regarding arena policies and procedures, premium spaces, Fan activation, and wayfinding
  • Work closely with Paycom Center, Thunder, and third-party vendor staff to resolve issues
  • Help with the setup, organization of promotional materials and resolution items, and breakdown of the Fan Information Booth
  • Prepare and submit nightly reports to the Guest Experience Coordinator, detailing relevant information from the shift, including feedback from Guests and Teammates.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of game night collateral, Fan giveaways, and resolution items at assigned Fan Information Booths, as well as the Guest Relations storage
Administrative Support
  • Offer administrative and logistical support to the department as necessary in the office
  • Provide coverage for our front desk, answering phones and greeting guests in our corporate office
  • Assist with research projects and events for department initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working at the front desk in the corporate office
  • Other duties as assigned
Training & Development
  • Provide logistical support in preparation and execution of "CLICK With Your Guests" certification events that revolve around the organization's key service values: Communicate Courteously, Listen to Learn, Initiate Immediately, Create Connections, and Know Your Stuff
  • Serve as event engagement ambassador for "CLICK With Your Guests" certification events, including set-up of the training environment, welcoming event attendees, distribution of certification items and modeling the "CLICK With Your Guests" approach to hospitality members
  • Coordinate training materials and maintain inventory of training supplies
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Minimum age requirement, 18 years
  • Able to work 90% of all scheduled training events and Thunder game nights and, on occasion, work on short notice (within 48 hours)
  • Committed to provide outstanding hospitality through professional and courteous interactions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team while maintaining a positive demeanor
  • Organized, attentive to details and possess an outstanding work ethic
  • Comfortable speaking with people from all demographics in public settings
Additional details:This is a seasonal part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Guest Experience Coordinator. Work schedule will include 30 hours per week. The schedule includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the home game schedule. Additionally, there will be training sessions, each lasting approximately six hours, as well as office hours scheduled as needed. Physical requirements of the job may include shifts up to nine hours long, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and working in the presence of loud in-arena noise and flashing lights. Primary work location with be Paycom Center located in downtown Oklahoma City. Employees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
