OUR SCHOOL

Gilman School is a pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade private independent day school for boys. Set on a 57-acre campus in the northern part of Baltimore City, Gilman serves roughly 1,000 students in three divisions. The School has a full-time faculty of nearly 140, and the average class size is 16 students.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The primary mission of the PT resource teacher is to ensure that Gilman's Lower School identifies children who learn differently during early elementary grades and to provide appropriate instruction and intervention based on educational best practices supported by neuroscience research. The PT resource teacher helps manage progress monitoring and accommodation plans, and supports differentiated instruction. He/She works closely with the Learning Support Team, assisting families, administration, external providers, and teachers in support of students through their academic and social development at Gilman.
